7. Do you want more Police on the street and on the beat, less Police or the same as we now have?
More Police on the street and on the beat
Less Police on the Stree and on the beat
The same as we now have

8. The Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce has been accused of being very aggressive in getting their people elected to key city positions to promote business interests. In planning events and allocating funds, do you feel that the City:
Gives equal consideration to the Chamber and to Residents?
Gives greater consideration to Residents than it gives to the Chamber?
Gives greater consideration to the Chamber than it gives to Residents?

9. The City has re-routed Redondo High School traffic from the front of the school to the residential streets behind the school. Many residents feel that this imposes an unfair traffic andsafety burden on the neighborhood and want traffic put back the way it was for years. What say you?
Keep the traffic routed into the residental area
Put it back in front of the school the way it was

10. Developers and some City Councilmen want to re-zone Torrance Blvd, between Prospect and PCH to allow residential use. They say this would increase revenues to the City. Many Residents oppose this plan and say that it will only increase the burden of density which is already to high and will cost Redondo more in the long run in both money and quality of life for Residents. What say you?
Do not re-zone Torrance Blvd or allow more development.
Re-zone Torrance Blvd and allow more development.

11. Unlike the Constitution, the City Charter is not a sacred document that is written in stone. It is meant to be a guide to running our city in the best possible way. Times have changed. Should the City Charter change with the times?
 Yes
 No

12. Redondo has a Mayor and a City Manager. Supporters say that the City Manager system prevents corruption. Others say that it invests too much power in a City Manager who is immune from the Will of The People and replacing the City Manager with a full time Mayor with real authority who is directly responsible to the People would make the City more responsive to the needs of Residents. Which do you support?
Keep the system as it is with a Mayor and City Manager.
Eliminate the City Manager and have a full time Mayor with Mayoral authority.

13. A major objection to the City Manager Position is that the City Manager is very far removed from the Will of the People. Since managing a City requires specialized knowledge and talent - as an alternative to getting rid of the City Manager Position and having a fulltime working Mayor - should the Citizens of Redondo Beach ELECT our City Manager with appropriate requirements of education and experience (for example, 2 years of managing another City sucessfully)?
 Keep The Present System
 Elect The City Manager
